If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, He will give you life because of righteousness, even though your body is subject to death because of sin. 

Romans 8: 10  But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. 

We are now led by the Spirit of God and have become His children. The Holy Spirit speaks to our spirit (inner being/man’s spirit), reminding us that we are children of God and, as children of God, we are also God’s heirs. As God’s heirs, we will share in His sufferings (putting to death the misdeeds of the body through the Spirit of Christ) and His glory (proclaiming His Word and eternal life with Him through the Spirit of Christ)! 

Romans 8: 14 For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. 

Romans 8: 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
